Meet Doctor Bonacci

Dr. Christopher Bonacci has been practicing Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in Northern Virginia since 1998. He has been Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Bonacci is currently serving as Chairman of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Division of General Surgery, at the Reston Hospital Center, Reston VA. Dr. Bonacci was inducted as a Fellow Into The American College of Dentists at the 2006 Annual American Dental Association meeting, an honor that only 2-3% Dentists nationwide receive. He received his Bachelors degree from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio.

He is both a dentist and a physician, completing both his dental and medical degrees at Columbia University. He finished his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. He is a surgeon for a program called, "Healing the Children" and has traveled to third world countries treating children with cleft lips and palates. He has also studied in Europe, training with some of Europe's most respected Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons. He is a published author and his work has been included in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the New York State Dental Journal. He is a member of many prestigious organizations including the American Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Association, the Implant Society of Northern Virginia, the Fairfax County Dental Society, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Middle Atlantic Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He served as the president of the Fairfax County Dental Society and has been honored with the Commencement Clinical Scholars Award and the Birnberg Clinical Research Award from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. Dr. Bonacci and his team continuously strive to offer the most advanced and comprehensive Oral and Maxillofacial treatment available.

Dr. Bonacci is busy in his personal life as well. A resident of Vienna, Dr. Bonacci and his wife have two children. The Bonacci's enjoy golf, skiing and lots of play dates for the kids!
